Piper got some new shoes this weekend. But what was her favorite part of the experience?

Street kid

Since she's learned the word 'car', as well as the phrase "Vroom, vroom, off we go!", Piper has developed a new pastime: looking out the window at the street below :)

If you can imagine, in this picture she's pointing and saying the word 'car' in her Boston twang, so it actually sounds like "Cahhhhhhh!"

Her other favorite pastime? Wiping her own nose :) Hey, when you're not quite two years old, that's pretty big stuff.
Summer in MN?!?
This past weekend we had several unseasonably warm days, and we enjoyed every second! We spent lots of time outside, with impromptu visits to the park and walking to the pond along the trail behind our house to see the ducks.
Piper is a big fan of the ducks. She's also a big fan of the geese, but she thinks they're just big ducks. I bet the geese would have quite a lot to say about that. Thankfully, geese can't talk.

Spring has sprung!
We played on some giant bugs...
It has a lot of different surfaces and hills, and rubber-like terrain that's (relatively) soft.Yes, spring has sprung here in Minnesota - and we're so excited! The downside? The end of daylight savings. Overall, it's a good thing. But right now, it's 9:15pm and Piper is still away, singing songs at the top of her lungs in her crib.
Tomorrow morning is gonna come hard!

First trip to the zoo!
Piper had her very first trip to the zoo today! It was a quick visit, as we didn't want to overwhelm the gal on her first time out. But she saw lots of different types of monkeys, giraffes, a zebra, foxes, fish, penguins, and seals. She has read about lots of animals in her books and is able to identify their pictures, but we weren't sure how she would respond to seeing them in person. She seemed to get it and certainly enjoyed telling us the names of the most familiar critters. It sure is fun watching the wheels work in her brain as she understands more and more about the world!
