Day #6: At last

Dear Daddy,

I hope you liked it when we surprised you at the airport today - I sure was happy to see you, wasn't I? I had to wait 5 whole days for that hug. That's why I wouldn't let go.

Day #4

Dear Daddy,

Tonight I just wanted to tell you that I love you and I miss you. I can't wait til you come home to see me! Also I want to remind you that I'm cute. I'm cute right? I mean, you can't fake this. This is one cute face.

Day #3: When the cat's away...

Tonight, I got to do something I'm almost NEVER allowed to do!

Day #2

Dear Daddy,

This evening I played some of my favorite old games, and discovered some new ones!

First, I spent some quality time in your bathroom emptying Mama's drawer of hair things. I emptied almost the entire drawer!

Some of the stuff... well, I wasn't sure what Mama uses it for. But I think I figured it out. With this stretchy thing, for example, I did my calisthenics.

Then, I realized that I could pull all of my dirty clothes out of my hamper! Mama LOVED this game!

Oddly enough, after the hamper thing, Mama said it was bedtime.

Day #1

Dear Daddy, Since you're out of town for the next five days, I decided I should update you daily on the goings-on around this place. Here's the rundown on my evening.

After daycare I just let loose a little. I needed time to relax, unwind and chew on my giraffe.

But not too much time! Then... dinner!

After dinner I read a little bit, with my swim diaper on my head.

Then, I drank some bath water to stay hydrated.

After my bath I read a bit more, to stay current.

Now I'm off to bed. I miss you Daddy! But the positive is... 1 day down! Only 4 more to go!

Takin' 'er out for a spin

Piper's Playhouse

Piper's friends Claire and Carter gave her their old playhouse. We set it up in the space we're turning into a playroom. One of her favorite ways to play peekaboo is to crawl into her house and throw the shutters open with both hands--an explosion of joy.

First tooth

Today I scrambled to extract some pieces of Hero's chewed up ball out of Piper's mouth (don't ask) and as I was sweeping my fingers around in there in a mild panic I felt something... SHARP AND POINTY! No, she's not a vampire baby! It was just her first tooth. It's official. Hooray!!!!!

Sorry it's been so quiet around here lately. I'll post all about our trip to Germany once Chris uploads the photos she took, since it'll be a much better story with both her and Dan's pictures. No pressure, Chris!

But until then, I'm just going to start posting again about Piper's day-to-day American life.
